I finally did it! I updated the ancient species reference sheet I made for my original Kyonshi species. X_X I'm (slowly) going through the process of updating all of them, but I felt my Kyonshi species was in need of it the most! I used my character Gibeon as the "guinea pig" for this and I'm quite happy with how it turned out!

The Kyonshis are the third intelligent species of Aisling. They are one of the few innately magical species. Their early use of magic soon attracted the attention of the Nebulions, another magical species, who tried to curtail the Kyonshis' efforts. As a result, Kyonshis went to war against the Nebulions and their Rhodri allies.
In an attempt to end the war, Nebulions engineered a virus to turn the Kyonshis vampiric, hoping to make them turn against each other and weaken their own defenses. However, after the initial confusion, the Kyonshis embraced their new "plague," and used its unintended side effects (increased ability to manipulate magic) to their advantage. They will now prey upon Nebulions and Rhodris alike without remorse. However, it is forbidden to drink the blood of another Kyonshi, and to do so means death.
Kyonshis have infiltrated most large communities of Nebulions and Rhodris, often through their use of shapeshifting to blend in. They assume the shapes of their prey and do this to gain their trust until the time is right.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
